Impression
The “Impressions” series emerges from my long-standing admiration for Impressionism — not simply as a style, but as a way of perceiving the world. These works are not direct depictions of nature, but abstractions of its moods, atmospheres, and shifting light, conveyed through geometric relief, tactile texture, and the organic presence of wood.
Rather than capturing form, I seek to hold on to its afterglow — the emotional and sensory imprint left in the mind. As the Impressionists once pursued the fleeting moment with brush and pigment, I reinterpret it through rhythmically structured wooden surfaces. Instead of air and light, I work with depth and weight — translating the ephemeral into a grounded, spatial language.
This series invites the viewer to slow down and feel the essence of a moment, not through narrative, but through its echo rendered in relief. “Impressions” is a dialogue with nature, not through reproduction, but through response — a personal, material meditation on transience, perception, and memory.
